Kafi BBQ Resturant Menu
When I designed the Kafi BBQ menu, I structured it as a visual narrative rather than a traditional food list. It opens with a comic-style origin story that shows the chef’s journey from Google to barbecue, establishing identity and personality before a single price appears. From there, I organized each section around craftsmanship and process. The Wagyu spreads do not just list items; they walk through trimming, seasoning, smoking, resting, glazing, and finishing, turning preparation into part of the storytelling. Even the Smoked and Fried Wagyu Steak page guides guests through how to order it the Kafi way, shifting the focus from transaction to experience.
Throughout the menu, I illustrated sides, sausages, and desserts with ingredient callouts and hand-drawn notes to highlight technique and quality. The primary focus is premium Wagyu, slow-smoked meats, and house-made elements, all supported by detailed drawings and narrative captions. I kept the palette cohesive with reds, neutrals, and muted blues to create a handcrafted, confident feel. My goal was to design something that communicates transparency, pride in process, and the sense that Kafi BBQ is a chef-driven brand built on intention and craft.
